Add and Subtract

Learn to Play the Numbers Game Level One

Select the Play button at any time to start or restart the game. Play resets your score for this level. The game's over when either the timer runs out or you've answered every question.

Have fun learning addition and subtraction with the Numbers Game level one. Swipe to spin, and tap to select digits, plus and minus symbols. Form mathematical expressions before time runs out.

Points

Build the correct expression and your score increases by 10 points. The maximum score for level one equals 100 points.

As you tap to select digits, plus, and minus symbols, they display below the art gallery. Selected digits, plus, and minus operators also highlight in the art gallery. Digits include numbers one through seven. Plus and minus symbols also float in the art gallery.

Hear a splash sound when you accidentally select the background. Text below the art gallery also says You selected the background. There's no harm in selecting the background. Simply continue tapping on digits and operators.

Post Your Score

When the game's over enter a user name and password. Select the Post Score button to see how your score compares to others online. Each level starts over if you return and tap the Play button. To accumulate the highest score complete a level, then start another level.

Game Play

Questions display below the art gallery. For each correct answer your score increases by ten points. Tap a digit in the art gallery, a plus or minus symbol, then another digit.

Addition

Assume the following question displays below the art gallery:

Form an expression which evaluates to 8.

To find the correct answer select 7, then tap the + sign, then select 1 from the art gallery. The expression 7 + 1 evaluates to 8 because 7 + 1 = 8. Your score increases by ten points. However other expressions also result in 8. For example 5 + 3 = 8.

Subtraction

Assume the following question displays below the art gallery:

Form an expression which evaluates to -2.

To find the correct answer select 5, then select -, and last select 7 from the art gallery. The expression 5 - 7 evaluates to -2 because 5 - 7 = -2. Your score increases by ten points.
